What is a Sleep Study?
A sleep study is a diagnostic evaluation to determine if a person has sleep apnea. Results are used by Medicare and other insurance providers to qualify residents for reimbursement to receive a PAP therapy device such as a CPAP or BiPAP.
How it works.
Upon a physician order, NJRA’s respiratory equipment technicians deliver the home sleep testing (HST) device and provide instructions for both the patient and nurse on proper use. Once the test is complete, our Board Certified Sleep Specialists will review the data within 48-hours and email the results directly to the primary physician and HME provider.
